VASIA TSONIS

Vasia is a multidisciplinary, self taught artist. She focussed on storytelling through film photography for over a decade before finding a passion for adorning the body through stick and poke tattooing.

She finds this method of tattooing to be similar to shooting with film as its a back to basics approach- slow, mindful, and intimate- it allows a deeper connection.

Vasia believes the process of tattooing and being tattoo’d to be an empowering method of reclaiming ones own body, sense of self and to contribute towards healing from trauma.

Born in Toronto, and raised between Canada & Greece, she traveled extensively before calling Tkaronto home and now has a cozy little studio in Kensington.
